Super Junior Members To Accompany Kangin on July 5th?

After the announcement was made that Super Junior’s own KangIn was to join the military servicethis year, fans were both devastated and supportive in his decision to voluntarily join the forces.

While KangIn did not participate in Super Junior’s latest album, Bonamana, he was able to participate in the repackaged edition before his July 5th military enrollment date. KangIn will be enrolling in Choongnam Nonsan Army Camp, where he will spend five weeks training for his upcoming two-year military service.

Because of his DUI scandal last October, KangIn has spent a lot of time reflecting on himself and wants to show fans a better and more mature side to him when he comes back from his military service in 2012. “I will remind myself that I will do well in the army and show a good side to me,” KangIn shared in the most recent Super Junior fan-meeting held on the 23rd.

While it’s certain that ELFs will be missing their favourite raccoon, the rest of the Super Junior members will undoubtedly miss their goofy member. Being the first member of Super Junior to enlist in the army, a reporter has said, “…at the time [of his departure], the Super Junior members will accompany him. I can see that a lot of fans will gather around.

{NEWS} Super Junior “Sorry Sorry’s Success, was a Big Burden” Comeback Interview as a Group of 10 People

Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk has revealed his feeling about coming back as a group 10 people after 1 year and 2 months.

Leeteuk met with the Newsen reporter after the pre-recording of KBS 2TV ‘Music Bank’ which is filmed live on May 14th held at Seoul Yeoyido New Open Hall. He said, “Truthfully it’s burdensome getting up on the stage as a group of 10 people instead of a group of 13 people.

Super Junior’s 4th album activity is led by 10 people excluding Hankyung who is currently in a lawsuit with the management company, Kibum who is focusing on his acting career and Kangin who is waiting to enter into the army. Leeteuk said, “It was awkward at first having empty space on the stage.”

Super Junior has received huge popularity with their 3rd album Sorry Sorry. Hence, it is natural for people to have expectations about the next album. Leeteuk revealed that, “after Sorry Sorry has done well, the expectations have gotten bigger” and “it was actually burdensome.”

However, Super Junior has chosen to look at higher future instead of settling in the present. Leeteuk said, “Currently the 4th album pre-order sales are 200000″ smiling brightly. This is a bigger number than the third album which was released in 2009.

Leeteuk said, “we will show the skate dance in Miinah” hinting that the first part will remind people of short track and speed staking and the next part is “similar to the hand work in ‘Danse macabre’ from Kim Yuna.

Meanwhile, Super Junior will start their activity with ‘Music Bank’ on the 14th and will appear in music programs one after another.

Kangin to return for SPAO?

Because of all the drama the k-pop industry is going through currently, it seems like the infamous stories of Kangin’s uncontrollable alcoholism has cooled off a bit.

However, as Kangin made an appearance for a brand new clothing company called SPAO through their website, the controversy has been reignited. Kangin’s appearance has enraged netizens since SM Entertainment had made a clear declaration that they would be suspending all of Kangin’s activity until the end of the year. Which SM is somewhat holding true to, because the shots seem to be taken prior to Kangin’s DUI incidents.

But regardless of when the photos were taken, netizens still believe displaying Kangin to the public is not right, at least for the time being.

Netizens have expressed,
“Exposing his face to the public is still considered an ‘activity’.”
“Do you think we are stupid?”
“We do not even want Kangin to quit or a resign from the group. But he should still keep his promise.”
“Why haven’t you guys arrested this kid yet?”

E-Land World, the holder of SPAO revealed:
“We have already filed a memorandum of understanding with SM in mid July. The ad was filmed before Kangin was involved in various accidents. We cannot provide a specific date when the actual Super Junior ad will be aired on TV. However, we do not have any plans to cut out the part where Kangin appears.”

Although using a careless alcoholic as the posterboy for your brand isn’t exactly the best decision a company can make, netizens should give it a rest. Shit happens.
